Bounce - Bounce is basically how easily the golf club digs or cuts into the ground. The lower the bounce, the more knifelike a wedge is. It will dig into the ground easier than a higher bounce club. The higher the bounce of a wedge, the more it will resist digging and be more apt to actually bounce off the ground. Low bounce is optimum for firm turf conditions while high bounce is better for soft turf conditions. Also, if your golf swing is very steep and you typically take large deep divots a higher bounce will be more ideal.

Effective Bounce - Effective bounce is how much bounce the golf club plays during the golf swing. For example, a narrow sole width promotes a lower effective bounce than a larger sole width. Thus, if two wedges have the same bounce of 10 degrees but one has a narrower sole, the wedge with the narrower sole will have a lower effective bounce. As the sole width decrease, the effective bounce decreases as well.

Heel Toe Grind (HT) - Aggressive heel and toe relief and thinned hosel allow for optimum versatility around the greens. The heel and toe relief allow the clubhead to be easily opened up for greenside flop shots. The thinned hosel helps to resist long grass from grabbing the clubhead through impact resulting in twisting of the club head and off center shots.

Dual Bounce Grind (DB) – The Dual Bounce Grind is an addition to the Heel Toe Grind. It has all the benefits of a HT Grind as mentioned above. After the HT Grind is created, the DB Grind is then performed creating a low bounce leading edge which promotes a crisp contact with the golf ball. As the leading edge sharply makes contact with the ball it is followed by high bounce trailing edge. Turf or sand builds up in the channel and into the high bounce section of the sole resisting full digging into the ground. When you open the face up for green side shots, the high bounce will come into effect and will resist digging in the bunker. This grind will give you the benefit of a high and low bounce wedge.
